Industrial switches are an essential active device in any network structure – from automation and SCADA systems, through cable TV networks, to distributed IoT installations and surveillance. Lanberg’s lightweight industrial switch series was designed for demanding working environments: a metal enclosure, passive cooling, and operating parameters that support stable operation across a wide ambient temperature range. The key advantages of this line include high PoE power (PoE+ / PoE++), redundant power input (you can connect 2 power sources), DIN-rail mounting, VLAN and EXTEND functions, automatic MDI/MDI-X, flow control, an intelligent PoE port cut-off function, and MAC auto-learning.

In practice, this is a network switch built for distributed infrastructure: industry, street lighting infrastructure, outdoor CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, and both indoor and outdoor deployments where Ethernet data transmission and PoE power for end devices (cameras, recorders, access points, controllers, sensors) matter – often with higher power requirements.

Industrial switch ILFE-4P-1GE-1S-90 with a rich selection of ports
This switch is equipped with a port set optimized for CCTV/IoT installations:

4× Fast Ethernet RJ45 PoE ports (10/100 Mb/s): 1× IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ (up to 90 W) + 3× IEEE 802.3af/802.3at PoE+.
1× 1000BASE-T uplink (Gigabit Ethernet) – for traffic aggregation and connection to the network core / NVR / router.
1× SFP slot (1000BASE-X) as a fiber uplink – optical parameters depend on the selected SFP module.

Lanberg Gigabit Ethernet switches with PoE++ technology
PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ technology makes it possible to deliver both data and power to devices using a single Ethernet cable, without additional electrical infrastructure at the camera or access point. The technology based on 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt standards allows powering peripheral devices with up to 120 W (90 W or 120 W depending on the model). A major benefit of the enhanced PoE standard is also high link quality and fast data transmission (up to 1 Gbps, depending on the model). Thanks to these capabilities, PoE is widely used in extensive surveillance networks. PoE+ and PoE++ enable real-time 4K camera streams while maintaining smooth performance.

VLAN and EXTEND functions
VLAN helps with logical traffic separation (e.g., CCTV vs the rest of the network), improving order and limiting unwanted broadcast traffic. EXTEND mode was introduced for deployments where you need to ensure operation over a longer run – at the cost of speed. In practice, EXTEND can extend transmission and PoE powering up to 250 m on a single cable run (extend 250 m) in typical surveillance and distributed infrastructure deployments.

An unmanaged switch that knows how to disconnect devices
If too many devices are connected and the available PoE power reserve is exceeded, the switch will disconnect endpoints starting from the highest-numbered PoE ports down to the lowest until a safe power limit is restored. This makes it easy to plan for power spikes and define which devices are most critical and should stay online first.

Intelligent switches with SFP module support
Lanberg’s lightweight industrial switches support different fiber types thanks to an integrated SFP slot. Optical transmission parameters depend on the selected SFP module. The switch also supports automatic MDI/MDIX, so crossover cables are not required, and it automatically detects and sets link speed and transmission mode.

Unmanaged PoE switch with redundant power input
Redundant power input means a dual power feed to the switch (two independent power paths). If one source fails, the device automatically switches to the other – without user intervention. This solution provides higher security and network stability.

Easy installation in 19" racks and on a DIN rail
Installation is fast and hassle-free thanks to Plug & Play operation. MDI/MDIX auto-detection recognizes the cable type, eliminating the need for crossover wiring and automatically setting link speed and transmission mode. Reliable packet forwarding with CRC checking (store-and-forward) is essential in IP surveillance systems. A major advantage is DIN-rail mounting, which gives flexible installation options both inside RACK cabinets and outside them.

Metal enclosure for durability and wide operating temperature range
A robust metal enclosure improves durability and supports stable continuous operation. The recommended ambient operating range is -25 to 65°C, with 10–90% humidity. While the enclosure is not water- or dust-tight, installed inside an appropriate outdoor/industrial housing it will perform very well in demanding indoor and outdoor environments such as factories, production plants, and industrial halls.
