The TurboSwap MB171SP-1B is a rugged full metal single bay 3.5" SAS/SATA trayless hard drive enclosure designed to fit any 5.25-in optical drive bay of the PC cases. This enclosure features a tray-less and tool-less drive installation design for quickly swap out drives without opening the computer case or using tools. The TurboSwap MB171SP-1B has an individual drive power button and is equipped with a heavy-duty metal door latch for the best drive protection.

Tool-less Drive Installation with Hot Swap Support
The TurboSwap is equipped with our proven tray-less technology – no screws, tools, or trays are necessary to insert or eject the drive. Simply insert the 3.5" SAS or SATA hard drive into the drive bay, close the door and ready to access the drive. When finished, open the door to eject the drive. The all-metal door latch offers stable and smooth drive ejection action and protection to the installed drive.

Full Metal Structure

Maximum Heat Dissipation

Optional Fan Mounting Holes
The TurboSwap MB171SP-1B includes four optional mounting holes for an 80mm cooling fan. Install a compatible cooling fan (80x80x10mm) and connect it to your power supply if extra cooling is needed.

Drive Power Button & Activity Light
The TurboSwap MB171SP-1B features an easy access drive power button that allows users to shut off the drive to reduce power and drive usage or prevent a hacker/virus attack. When a drive is fully inserted in the enclosure, the drive activity light will begin to light up and indicate the drive is powered and accessed.
